Bassin de Saint-Ferréol in Italy, 1900s Antique Postcard, Reservoir Essential to Replenish the Canal du Midi

Work began on a dam in 1667 and was completed 4 years later.  The reservoir is fundamental for the Canal du Midi which needs a constant supply of water for navigation.
